Recolecta, a barrio (neighborhood) between Palermo and the government center, is home to some of the most expensive real estate in the city; except you can't live there. You get buried there. Well, not quite buried either. Porteños, especially those in Recolecta, take pride in their cemetery. It was both an awesome and mysterious experience to stroll through the mini streets of the cemetery and peek through the glass windows of the doors to see the age old coffins lying inside beautifully ornate structures. Some of Argentina's wealthiest and most influential citizens lie here.
