After getting out of Torres del Paine with a complete set of gear soaked solid through with rain water, I managed to dry off, get a load of laundry done, and catch the 6hr bus across the border back into Argentina to the town of El Calafate.

The best part of El Calafate (calafate is the name of the wild berries that grow all over Patagonia) was the beer. On the way to the bird santuary on the north side of town sits a little pub called Whirra. The owner, very nice guy, lived in Philly for a decade before moving back to start this pub. He makes a Pilsner and a Bock and both were the best beers I've had in a while.
