In Sinaia you'll find the Peles Castle. It's about an hour south of Brasov.
I’ll have to say that this is by far the most extravagantly excessive palace I’ve seen. Built between 1873 and 1888, some say it has one of the richest art collections inside than of all European Castles. I wish I could have taken interior photos, but it's not allowed.
The castle is actually being returned to King Michael this year, and will be open to tourist for 3 more years, but its future is unknown after that.
