First and foremost, my deepest apologies for not updating this page for nearly a month! Time flies, and we've been busy as bees getting all over Peru and Ecuador. On with the show...
Finally made it to Cusco to meet my friends and Elif. The final leg from Puno to Cusco was by far the worst bus ride yet in South America. The locals have the nasty habit of selling you a local ticket but telling you its express. The local buses leave at 10pm and arrive at 4am, stopping every 90 minutes or so. The bus ends up being packed, even down the aisle, and I even met a guy who said a lady opened up a bag of dead lamb parts and pulled out a machete and proceeded to cut up some chops to sell at the market the next day...
